The Steve Miller Band/Abracadabra (Thanks for bringing this to my attention Miss Erin K.!) Here’s the thing- the genius of this video is not limited to my good pal Backstreet Pete’s observation that it makes him (and I quote) “want to go retreat into my rapture bunker.”It’s not even the numerous hi-tech special effects that put Max Headroom or Clash of the Titans to shame either. It is, in the end, YouTube user comments like these, as pointed out by Backstreet Pete:“It sucks that youtube only plays mono. The stereo version of this song was and is way ahead of its time. The cleanest synths ever in a song, period.”
